Steph from The Salty Collective recently teamed up with the New Zealand Women’s Black Ice team to design their new training uniforms. New Zealand Women’s Black Ice are a senior synchronized ice skating team based in Auckland and represent New Zealand, competing overseas. Black Ice is the most advanced synchronized Ice Skating team in New Zealand, they have recently transitioned from a Mixed Age team to a Senior team and are the reigning national champions of the mixed age category at the New Zealand National Ice Figure Skating Championships. Winning the title consecutively from 2017-2019, they are also the reigning national Champions mixed age category at the Australian National Figure Skating Championships in 2019.

Prior to Covid-19 the Black Ice team got their training uniforms through Lululemon, a world renowned overseas activewear company. Because of the impacts of Covid-19, the Black Ice team decided they wanted to work with and support a New Zealand owned company. A company with ethical, conscious and sustainable practices at the heart of their brand, so they reached out to Steph at Saltysea.  They collaborated and created their new range of contemporary uniforms.

A great businesses win for Waihi Beach business The Salty Collective and fantastic to see NZ organisations supporting local.  Congrats to Steph and team!
