WELCOME TO ATHENREE HOMESTEAD
This historic house built in 1878 by Hugh & Adela Stewart is the only homestead of its kind left in the area which was part of the only planned Irish settlement in the world. Nestled in 2.5 hectares of picturesque countryside, it has spectacular views overlooking Tauranga Harbour and the ocean beyond.

Originally in Athenree Gorge, Athenree Railway Station now stands in the Homestead grounds. Fully restored it offers a lovely place to enjoy our famous Athenree Teas. It is also the perfect venue for your wedding or that special occasion.
Catering can be made available at the Station by prior arrangement and we can provide a directory of local businesses, all experts in this field.
Weddings:
We have held several weddings over the last few years and they have all been very successful. The property is spacious, with plenty of parking, onsite toilet facilities and a commercial kitchen. Lovely grounds with plenty of room for marquees. Stunning views towards Tauranga Harbour.
